On Tuesday of Holy Week Jesus taught at the temple.

As a family we usually choose to read chapters 21-23 of Matthew on this day, and/or pick a parable or two that we would like to focus on.

Don’t run faster than you are able.
I’ve found that I constantly need to be reminded of the scriptures that tell us not to run faster than we are able:
Doctrine & Covenants 10:4
“Do not run faster or labor more than you have strength and means provided… but be diligent unto the end.”
Mosiah 4:27
“And see that all these things are done in wisdom and order; for it is not requisite that a man should run faster than he has strength. And again, it is expedient that he should be diligent, that thereby he might win the prize; therefore, all things must be done in order.”
This is a perfect example of that. I very often have so many ideas and activities I want to do that I get overwhelmed and don’t end up doing any of them. So in my effort to listen to those verses I’m constantly being reminded of, I choose to keep this day of Holy Week simple.
Like Jesus, who very likely knew how hard and full this week would get as it progressed, he chose to spend Tuesday and Wednesday teaching, spending time with his friends/disciples and not running faster than he was able. So we use today as a day of teaching, but also as a day to rest a bit while planning for the days ahead.
Resurrection Egg for today:
Today’s egg is filled with 3 dimes (representing 3 pieces of silver/betrayal) and a strip of paper reading Matthew 26:14-16.
Videos for today:
Pick a vido (or multiple) from the Church of Jesus Christ YouTube channel. They have a playlist called “bible videos”. Any of the videos there about Jesus teaching or parables would be fitting.
